Wel­come to the first blog post of the new site. There’s still some blood, sweat and tears being poured into this thing, but I’d say I’m 80% sat­is­fied with the progress, thus the “v0.8” in the title.

What you are look­ing at is a high­ly cus­tomized Word­Press instal­la­tion. Although Word­Press is usu­al­ly asso­ci­at­ed with blog­ging, I’m hap­py to use it to man­age an entire web­site. The incred­i­ble theme and plu­g­in com­mu­ni­ty sur­round­ing it makes it just fan­tas­tic to work with.

Now, for a lit­tle more spit and polish.
